Growing up

As Alyssa finishes her freshman year and anxiously looks forward to a long summer's nap.  I think about her experiences, the friends she's made, the ways she has grown, the things she has accomplished.  I am so proud of her and how well she has handled college.  I am thrilled that despite the growing up she has done, Alyssa still continues to be her own unique Alyssa-self.  I have stolen these photos from Alyssa's friend Rose (pictured with Alyssa below). She was one of Alyssa's first pals at college....and I am so thankful that she and Alyssa have been there to help each other through.  In the photo above, Alyssa has somehow convinced her roommate to carry her up three flights of stairs.  God bless this girl!!  Can't wait for Alyssa to be home on Thursday....but she's going to have to crawl upstairs on her own!!
